In late 2010, ENTER.CO published a list of the 5 most anticipated games of 2011 . Many of our readers wrote and commented on where we succeed and where we went wrong (some were nicer than others), but a particular game was on the list of complaints: Crysis 2. Let’s correct that a little upset.

The game, which will be released on March 22 in international markets is one of the most anticipated thanks to its combination of spectacular graphics and gameplay action-packed that it would still be smart. However, as you know well fans of the first game, that quality (especially the visual effects) has a high cost in hardware. Crysis 2 continues that trend but with more compassion than the first game.

This is the official list of the minimum specifications required for Crysis 2.

  • Internet connection for product activation and online play.
  • OS: XP / Vista / Windows 7.
  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GHz, AMD Athlon 64 x2 2Ghz (or better).
  • 2 GB RAM.
  • HDD: 9 GB.
  • DVD ROM: 8x.
  • GPU: NVIDIA 8800GT 512Mb RAM, ATI 3850HD 512Mb RAM (or better).
  • Audio: DirectX 9.0c-compatible.
  • Keyboard, mouse, or control of Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller for Windows.

The first thing that jumps out is the minimum GPU calling the game. The two models mentioned cost between 70 and 200 U.S. dollars (130,000 and 370,000 pesos), which means that to enjoy a basic experience in Crysis 2 is required have a computer with a graphics card with upper-middle range. also impacts requiring a Core 2 Duo.

Although the specifications are consistent with what most fans of action games for PC now should be to take full advantage of graphics to Crysis 2 is necessary to have more computing power. The reward, however, probably will mourn the more than one such gamer.

Electronic Arts, the publisher of Crysis, is preparing for an event in Colombia, which plans to announce its plans to enter the country. Will we see a simultaneous release of the game in our country? We’ll know in a few days.
